Let's start saying that Carara National Park is one of the most visited areas in Costa Rica by the birdwatchers, this area of Garabito is the home of more than 400 species of birds, having that in mind, Tarcoles river is a very famous place to enjoy and discover its biodiversity on this guided bird-watching tour. We will start this tour early in the morning doing first the track of the river muddy banks and mangroves, to watch a big number of shorebirds, seabirds, and other wildlife, where usually we can see and photograph more than 50 species of birds along the river.
